Overview
Talbot School of Theology is a theologically conservative, evangelical seminary in Southern California. With a 55-year heritage of biblical fidelity, the seminary couples solid evangelical scholarship with intentional character development to prepare students for a lifetime of relevant, effective ministry. The seminary's seven master's degree programs and three doctoral degree programs are led by a faculty of nationally renowned, actively engaged ministry leaders.

This includes gaining a masterful understanding of God and His Word, developing a Christ-like character, and learning how to relate the truths of the Gospel to the world you see to impact.
Accreditation
Talbot School of Theology, the seminary of Biola University, is included within Biola University's accreditation by the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Talbot is also a member of the Association of Theological Schools (member), the internationally recognized accrediting body of seminaries and schools of divinity in the United States and Canada.
Recognition
Agencies of the United States Government which recognize the training given at Talbot include:
- The United States Department of Health Education and Welfare, Office of Education.
- The Chaplaincy Branches of the Army, Navy and Air Force. Full-time seminary students are eligible to apply for commissions as second lieutenants or ensigns in the chaplaincy branches of the Army, Air Force or Navy, with eight weeks of active duty training optional during the summer vacation. A course in chaplaincy orientation is offered by the department of Christian Ministry and Leadership.
- The Veterans Administration.
- The United States Department of Justice, Immigration and Naturalization Service.

Talbot School of Theology is located in La Mirada, Calif., a Los Angeles County suburb ranked by Money Magazine as one of America's 100 best places to live. Situated on the border of Los Angeles and Orange counties, the seminary is a matter of minutes from all that Southern California has to offer — including beaches, entertainment venues, cultural attractions and a wealth of diverse ministry opportunities.
