Message From The Dean

Portrait of Dennis Dirks

I appreciate your interest in Talbot School of Theology. I want you to learn as much as you can about Talbot in order to make an informed, prayerful decision about a seminary program.

The seminary journey you are considering is a difficult path, requiring as it does that you follow the footsteps Jesus took two thousand years ago to make disciples of others. It will require intense study, reasoned understanding and wholehearted devotion to the Word of God.

Talbot School of Theology has the means to prepare you for this journey. Consider the following as a broad outline of our approach to preparing you for ministry:

  • A mission to impact the world
  • A quality faculty
  • A practical ministry approach
  • Devotion to your educational needs
  • Spiritual formation of the whole person
  • Commitment to you after you leave Talbot

Equipped in these ways, you will be prepared for solid ministry and be able to respond to the unique demands of this generation. You will be able to stand firm against movements that seek to undermine the biblical record of Jesus and his life and ministry. You will join in a movement that is transforming the ideologies and values of our day into a biblical worldview. You will be ready to make a difference with your life.

If you feel challenged to become this kind of disciple of Jesus Christ, read on. Learn what the seminary program at Talbot School of Theology can mean to you.
