Talbot's Doctor of Ministry program is designed to help ministry practitioners make a maximum impact in ministry. Our goal is to provide more than a degree; we want to help ministers develop the skills necessary to accomplish God’s unique agenda for their lives.
Biblical and Theological Training
We offer an expanding number of specialty tracks that utilize a cohort-based faculty-mentor led model of graduate education. We believe the best learning occurs within relationships, so we limit the size of our cohorts so students can develop personal relationships with each other and with the faculty. Faculty are recognized experts in their fields who share their lives, as well as their expertise. Our program gives students opportunities to focus on what they are passionate about whether that be ministry in general (Ministry Skills) or a specific aspect of ministry (Advanced Biblical Preaching). All assignments are designed to assist current ministry. This program is intensely practical.
The faculty-mentors and Talbot's Institute for Spiritual Formation work together to help students develop the mind and spiritual character necessary for continued effective ministry.
Roles Upon Graduation
The Doctor of Ministry degree is the highest professional degree for pastoral and ministry leaders. Everyone in the program is already active in ministry. Talbot’s Doctor of Ministry program is designed to enhance existing skills and furnish the knowledge and training necessary for students to attain a high level of excellence in the practice of ministry.
