Dr. Huffman wants to be a person like Ezra, who "devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the Lord, and to teaching its decrees and laws in Israel" (Ezra 7:10, NIV). Dr. Huffman's specialties include the story of Jesus as recorded in the Gospel of Luke, the story of the early church as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles, and Christian Thought, i.e. the application of Christian teaching to culture. He hopes to be as faithful in the 21st century as Ezra was in the 6th century BC. Before coming to Biola, Dr. Huffman taught in biblical and theological studies and served in several administrative roles at Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He and his wife Deb have been deeply involved in the local church.
