Degree: M.A. Soul Care
Why did you choose to come to ISF?
I came into ISF with the desire to work through my own personal issues, along with how this affected my relationships in ministry. What I came out with was much more - a reshaping of myself, my passion for helping others, and my vocation. ISF helped me to become more of who God created me to be, along with guiding me into the journeys of others who are in need of the same.
How are you using your ISF degree today?
After ISF I went through more schooling in order to become a therapist. I like to say that my time at ISF gave me the personal capacity/ability to sit with others in the counseling room, while my further training gave me the tangible skills I needed to be of further help. Having the background in spiritual formation and soul care has been invaluable in the work that I do, as our relationship with God offers the best source of help for us all in the midst of relational, emotional, and spiritual pain.
