Masters Caps, Gowns and Hoods
Your caps and gowns may be purchased in the Biola Bookstore during regular bookstore hours beginning October 11, 2011 at the Grad Finale. Payment to the Biola Bookstore is required at the time of pickup. The Bookstore will give you the cap, gown and tassel, but you will need to pick up your hood from the Office of the Dean at Talbot (Myers Hall Room 200). Masters hoods should be picked up:
Tuesday, December 6, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, December 7, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Thursday, December 8, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
You must present your Bookstore receipt to receive your hood.
Doctoral Regalia
Kate Julius (Talbot) will order Talbot Doctoral Regalia (caps, gowns, and hoods) which may be picked up after May 18 from Myers Hall Room 200. The cost of the rental regalia is $50.00 and will be charged to your account. Since doctoral regalia is rented, doctoral candidates must return all regalia to Jane Elmore in Myers Hall Room 200 immediately following the ceremony.
Class Rings, Invitations & Announcements
Invitations must be purchased in advance. It takes two to three weeks to receive your invitations, so please plan ahead. Invitations may be ordered online at www.shop.jostens.com or order by phone at 1-800-353-5299. A Jostens representative will also be in the Biola Bookstore to take orders for invitations and class rings. For more information, contact Eleanor Boudreau, Josten's Representative at (310) 676-0603.
Diplomas & Frames
If the graduate wishes to have his/her diploma mailed to them, fill out the blue card found inside the diploma cover and submit it to the registrar's office. Please allow five to six weeks for delivery.
Baccalaureate Celebration Service
Talbot's Baccalaureate Celebration Service will be held on Thursday, December 15, at 5:00 p.m. at the Knott's Berry Farm Hotel and Resort, 7675 Crescent Avenue, Buena Park. This special evening includes dinner, a hooding ceremony, and testimonies of thanksgiving. All Talbot graduates will receive an invitation that requires an RSVP by November 17. Graduates and spouses attend for free, and guests are $30 per person. Please bring your caps, gowns, and hoods to the Baccalaureate for the hooding ceremony. Commencement Videos
Biola’s professional film crew is producing a DVD of each ceremony that is available to purchase for $34.99 (plus your local sales tax; shipping is included in the price). Photography
Chappell Studios will be taking professional photos at your Commencement Ceremony. Within 5 weeks of Commencement, you will receive a full-color proof and an order form at your permanent address from Chappell Studios. There is no obligation to purchase, and you’ll have the option of ordering from a variety of enlargement packages at very reasonable prices. For more information, please visit www.chappell.com.
