Ed.D. Program

General Information

The Ed.D. degree program in Educational Studies is designed to equip the "leader-teacher" to give leadership in educational ministry settings and to teach in higher education settings. The program involves two-years of coursework (36 units), a comprehensive exam, and a dissertation. The program is designed to be doable in 3.5 years in the residential program and 4.5 years in the modified-residential program.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of the Ed.D. is to equip and strengthen men and women for educational leadership positions in congregational, denominational, interdenominational, and parachurch settings and for teaching and research to equip others for Christian educational service and to strengthen the development of the field of Christian education.
