Talbot School of Theology Reduces Credit Requirement Starting Fall 2017

May 3, 2017

New students have the opportunity to complete a Talbot School of Theology degree in less time and more affordably due to a change in required credit hours starting in Fall 2017. Talbot currently offers a variety of online, on-campus and hybrid courses that offer students more flexibility. Now with the credit reduction, students can achieve a seminary degree more quickly.

“Over the past two years, the Talbot faculty and program directors have worked very hard at streamlining our courses and program requirements to provide students with the very best of the equipping that is necessary for ministering in today’s culture,” said Clint Arnold, dean of Talbot School of Theology.

Talbot will also offer complete online programs starting fall 2017 and will offer 25 core curriculum courses online. By lowering the required credits and new fully online programs, Talbot will offer a wide variety of flexibility and affordability to local, national and global students.

“We have reduced our M.Div. program from 96 to 79 units and most of our master’s programs from 64 to 49 units. Your time will be maximized and you will save money by taking advantage of these reconfigured programs,” said Arnold.

The reduction allows Talbot programs to be more affordable for students who are seeking to pursue a career in ministry.
