Intramural Sports
Intramural Sports, a department of Biola's Associated Student Government, allows all students to participate in various sports throughout the year such as flag football, basketball, volleyball and softball.
University Art Gallery
The Biola University Art Gallery is host to graduating undergraduate senior art shows and travelling national art shows. Most gallery openings are once a month and is a lot of fun for regular gallery goers as well as curious students and staff. The gallery is operated through the Department of Art.
Student Employment
Biola offers job counseling and helps students find jobs on and off campus. Biola's Off-Campus Student Employment Office works very closely with local businesses to provide part-time work opportunities for students. Most jobs are typically 15-20 hours/week. The Talbot Job Placement is also available for current students and alumni looking for part-time or full-time pastoral/director positions within churches or para-church organizations.
Theater
Between the Theatrical Art's programs, Music Department and Community Programs and Services Department's Biola Youth Theater Program there are many opportunities to attend theater performances at Biola.
Missions Conference
The annual Missions Conference is a three-day student-run event that educates, equips, and inspires students to embrace their role in completing the Great Commission. Classes are cancelled Wednesday-Friday mid-spring semester so that Biola's students and faculty can learn and see what God is doing on the mission field. The conference offers ethnic meals, cultural awareness field trips, on-campus cultural experiences, and interaction with missionaries.
Torrey Memorial Bible Conference
The Torrey Memorial Bible Conference is a testament to Biola's mission "equipping men and women in mind and character to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ." For three days, classes are dismissed "to bring the entire Biola community together to hear the clear, bold teaching and application of the Word of God." The conference includes sessions taught by notable leaders such as Alistair Begg, Jill Briscoe, Josh McDowell, Lorie Salierno, Elizabeth Elliot, Bruce Wilkinson, and Howard Hendricks; special times of one-on-one and small group interaction with these godly individuals; and corporate singing, worship, prayer and praise.
